What a 360 marketing agency should deliver
You signed with a 360 marketing agency to get one joined-up plan. What arrives each month may still be four channel reports stapled together; what you want is one set of KPIs, one audience definition, and one person who can say which channel is paying for the rest.
Joined-up work pays back more than the retainer: paid search spends on the clicks your organic pages have yet to win, and your other languages start from a complete plan. We have spent more than two decades in this industry, and we know what joined-up work looks like from the inside.
Below: what joined-up work looks like, a three-question test for any agency you pay, and when a 360 partner is the right hire.
What integration looks like when it works
You are paying for decisions made across channels. Five things, genuinely joined up, deliver them.
- One strategy document that names the actual constraint: lead quality, search visibility in three languages, trade-show pipeline, whatever it really is.
- One short measurement plan everyone reads weekly.
- One brand voice and positioning that keeps its edge in translation across markets.
- One tech stack the whole team can log into directly.
- One person accountable when numbers move sideways.
Three habits of joined-up work
Each habit below sends budget to the channel where the problem is still open.
Channel teams that decide together. A monthly meeting where each team copies its KPIs into the same deck keeps everyone busy. Joined-up work means the teams overlap and take shared decisions.
A strategy the team re-reads. A plan shapes the work for as long as people open it. Keep it short enough to reread every week, so it still shapes the work long after week two; a 90-page document, beautifully structured, tends to be read once, on day one.
Multilingual planned from the start. When the Spanish and French versions are planned alongside the English one, each starts from its own complete plan and a clean handover. Real multilingual marketing, as our multilingual SEO best practices explain, is a planning input from day one.
76% of online shoppers prefer to buy products with information in their native language, and 40% will never buy from websites in other languages.

Test your agency's integration in ten minutes
Ten minutes shows you how joined up your agency’s work is. Ask three questions about any active campaign.
- Which paid keyword should we kill because organic now ranks for it?
- Which Spanish blog post would benefit most from a remarketing pixel?
- What did the Belgian (.be) version of the campaign learn that the French (.fr) version can adopt next?
A joined-up agency answers all three on the spot, from one shared plan.
How a Houston freight client turned four engagements into one plan
Our freight forwarding client in Houston works in English across three buyer types (importers, exporters, freight forwarders), and across LinkedIn, organic search, Google Ads, and trade events.
For the six months before we came in, those had run as four separate engagements: four invoices, four sets of KPIs and four audience definitions, each reported on its own.
After we consolidated into one strategy document and one measurement plan, three findings surfaced inside the first month.
- 31% of paid keywords were already ranking #1 organically. We killed those bids and reallocated budget to upper-funnel terms.
- Three Spanish blog posts were ranking top three, ready for a remarketing pixel. We added it. The conversion path appeared overnight.
- LinkedIn outreach was using a different positioning line than the website. Aligned them. Reply rate moved in the same month.
Every gain came from tactics already in place. Joining the work up drove the lift.
The data behind joined-up campaigns
Connection pays more than channel count. The IPA’s analysis of more than 250 campaign case studies found a measurable gap between integrated multi-channel work and single-channel campaigns.
78% of cases with three channels demonstrate hard business effects versus 67% of those with only one channel.

For your budget, that means three connected channels beat seven disconnected ones.

Ask to see each promise before you sign
Read a proposal against the right-hand column; each line is something to ask to see before you sign.
| What 360 brochures promise | What integration actually requires |
|---|---|
| “We cover every channel” | One strategy that names the constraint and the trade-offs |
| “Cross-functional team” | One accountable lead with budget authority |
| “Custom dashboards” | One measurement plan everyone reads weekly |
| “Multilingual ready” | Translation as a planning input from the start |
| “Always-on social” | Social tied to the same conversion goals as paid and SEO |
Hire a 360 partner when two of these are true
A 360 partner pays off once you need coordination across channels. We usually tell clients to hire one when at least two of the following are true.
- You operate across more than two languages or markets, and you want brand consistency back across them.
- You want your reporting to show where the next quarter’s revenue is meant to come from.
- Your in-house generalist is covering five jobs, and what helps most is strategic cover.
In other cases, a senior fractional lead plus two specialist contractors usually outperform an agency retainer at lower cost, with more attention on the actual constraint. Our comparison of a digital marketing advisor versus an agency sets out that choice in more detail.
A second pair of eyes on your marketing engine
If you are weighing a 360 marketing agency retainer against keeping things in-house, we are happy to walk through the trade-offs with you.
We work with B2B clients in legal, freight, real estate, and translation across six languages, from Valencia. You can read more about how we work.
The honest answer for many companies is to keep the in-house team and bring in narrow expertise where the constraint actually lives. Sometimes the answer is a full 360 partner. Either way you should know which it is before signing.
